Education
Paul attended the University of Virginia, where he had his own academic struggles to overcome, and those experiences laid the foundation for a teaching career grounded in empathy and student growth. With an MA from Middlebury and an MA from Columbia in Leadership, Paul has the educational and leadership experience to help adolescents and young adults develop the tools and skills they need to overcome personal and academic challenges to launch successfully.
Work Experience
Through coaching, serving as a dorm parent, and 13 years of teaching, Paul has developed a belief in student-centered education. His work has focused on empowering students to be competent, confident, and self-guided learners. Working with students one-on-one, Paul develops positive, mentoring relationships with students of all ages and levels, and helps them in addressing not only academic skills such as reading and writing, but also essential organizational, motivational, and focus issues related to executive functioning and ADHD.
